My approach
I offer a unique approach to therapy. Listening is just the first step. I then provide practical coping skills to adapt to your everyday life. My style not only allows you to talk openly, but to put into practise tools and techniques that you work through in therapy, allowing you to move forward.
Counselling and psychotherapy
Counselling is a process entirely personal to you, supported professionally by a therapist. We can work to an agreed number of sessions or on an ongoing basis. When you stop is entirely up to you. However, it takes time to reach a deeper understanding of an issue and to find the most beneficial way to resolve difficulties.
In life, we all experience challenges or changes that become overwhelming and difficult to face alone. This leads to patterns of behaviour and negative thoughts that hinder personal and professional growth.
Counselling psychotherapy can be an extremely powerful tool in helping you become the person you want to be…
- allowing you to reflect in a confidential space and explore difficulties whatever they might be
- taking place in a non-judgmental environment, where you are offered insight, clarity and an understanding of your issues
- leading you gently on a journey of self-exploration and self-awareness
The benefit of talking to a professionally-trained, BACP*-approved psychotherapist is that unlike a member of your family or a close friend, I can bring an objective, non-judgemental view to our discussions, where you’re free to be you.
I can uncover and unlock unresolved issues, feelings, thoughts, fears – while also supporting you in setting goals and getting you to a place where you need to be, where you can see change. And when you can see change, you’ll understand that it’s not just about talking.
I always offer a free, 15-minute consultation on the phone before you make the initial booking. This gives you a chance to talk to me and highlights your counselling needs.
